NA Beer Club: The Best Way to Drink Non-Alcoholic Beer in 2026

My eyes lit up as I looked around the shelves. The sheer variety of interesting names, styles and designs had my full attention. This was the feeling I had walking into a beer bottle shop for the first time. I was a young beer enthusiast excited to throw my budget towards another selection of craft beers. This year, however, I am budgeting my calories and monitoring my diet a bit more closely. Welcome to the stage: NA Beer. Non-alcoholic beer is a wicked cool, burgeoning market growing out of the craft beer industry. I spent some time last year giving NA beers another shot and I found the best way for anyone to do this was by sourcing their product from the NA Beer Club–and they'd rediscover that bottle shop wonder at the same time. In this issue, your favorite beer villain connects with NA Beer Club co-owner, Tyler Keough. We chat about the different reasons folks look to NA product and some of the exciting things their team hopes to accomplish starting this next year.

NA Beer is for Everyone

Drinking NA beer is still a confusing concept for many people. I think this is most difficult for folks who happen to already dislike beer in the first place, only tolerating it socially or for the alcohol. Whether you're one of those individuals or you're a fellow beer enthusiast, NA beer can be for you.

I asked co-owner, Tyler Keough, about the variety of people he's met through the NA beer community. He told me about a couple of those groups and how he feels the NA Beer Club serves them, as well as others.

NA Beer Club is a Discovery Platform

It is a place to explore craft beer that can't always be found in stores.
Tyler explains:

"In many cases, [a] person needs to cut back for health reasons or has reached a point where alcohol simply no longer fits into their life. But beer has been part of their routine for years, sometimes decades, and removing it entirely doesn’t feel like the right answer."

For those looking to find the right NA beer for themselves or a loved one, the NA Beer Club has more than plenty of options. They offered over 200 different beers to choose from at the time of writing. Tyler also mentions that the platform is perfect for those already familiar with NA beers, specific brands and beer styles. I definitely felt that this was the category I fell into when I was exploring the options on the site.

My Custom NA 12-Pack

When I decided a while back to revisit non-alcoholic beers, I wanted to drink them more broadly. There has been so many more produced recently so I knew there would be plenty. Still, I was shocked when the options were so varied. Living in San Diego, I decided to skip the easily accessible brews from Athletic Brewing and set out to build my own 12-pack of NA beers I had yet to try. The plan was to get a good mix of styles from different breweries as well as similar styles from the same brewery. I ended up with a few favorites.

First up are a couple Kölsch brews from Untitled Art and Best Day Brewing. Unsurprisingly, I was still less excited about either of these than an alcoholic Kölsch but these were reliable and the lighter malt profiles still consistent with what I'd want from the style. I found that the lighter NA beer styles were the most difficult for me to embrace as someone who routinely drinks alcoholic. Bold character definitely helps distract me from that aspect.

The NA beers that felt the easiest to transition into were great examples of the bolder character theory. Momentum's Black IPA and ENAY's West Coast IPA both were very hop driven. The Black IPA also had a roastier malt profile in addition to the hop impact that made it a favorite of mine from the 12-pack. Lastly, Mash Gang's Chocolate Cherry Stout was a very sweet treat that stood out. It was sweeter than what I'd normally want in a go-to beer and I could only assume it isn't the most calorie conscious alternative but it's a rad "Dark Brew" that I'm glad to have tried.

The Future of The NA Beer Club

The best way to source NA beers today is from the NA Beer Club, and they still have many plans to improve in 2026. The challenges the NA community faces are made nary a concern thanks to Tyler and his partner, Mark Ruf. Some of their major goals include education/information accessibility, NA distribution and even aims to brew their own beer through industry collaboration.

They already run their own blog, but Tyler hopes to become the go-to source for all things NA beer. This would include anything from new releases to new NA brewing technology advancements. Obviously this would include major updates on their own brand as well. Tyler shares, "One challenge we’ve seen across the industry is that many breweries, especially newer ones, don’t yet have strong distribution systems in place. Even some of the larger players avoid distributing limited releases because the economics just don’t work." He hopes that they can explore some partnership and distribution options that will empower them to offer even more NA beer choices soon.

If you're looking to do a dry-January, make a long term commitment to NA beer or simply want to explore some NA options, you can't go wrong by starting with The NA Beer Club.

But don't let me tell you how to drink your beer. I am a villain, after all!
